Now that the flower series is over, I've decided to simplify things a bit with a black and white photo. The past week has been color overload! This is a house I pass by when I run, and I use as a place marker. I know I'm about halfway done with my route when I reach this house. It's significant because it's one of the first phrases in Arabic I managed to read on my own. It says mash'allah, which expresses joy or excitement for an event or person that was just mentioned. It's also used to ward off jealousy, or the evil eye, which is why it's sometimes written on houses or on cars.
